Still Fresh
Vintage F1 Style
This past weekend I rewatched “Senna” on Netflix and was really taken by the style that was woven throughout F1 of that era.
The cars, the uniforms, the hats, and the casual style of the drivers outside of racing. So 90s and nostalgic, but forever cool.
Shit, look at Ayrton below—everyone nowadays is trying to dress like this.
Am I right or am I right?
Side note: Ayrton Senna reminds me a lot of Rickson Gracie, one of the greatest fighters of all time. Ironically, they are both Brazilian. They both had an unreal aspect to them; even to their competition who knew they were special and on another level.
They were both notably aggressive in competition but extremely sensitive men (If you read Rickson Gracie’s book, Breathe, you’ll find that he really had the mind of an artist, despite being an absolute warrior).
Something about the supreme confidence that they both had translated to effortlessly cool style.
We need to become elite athletes, guys.
Inspo Sites
I’m working on a brand update/new website for my SEO agency and… I really love this process.
Colors, dimensions, proportions, button placement, CTAs - There is such art and science in creating a website.
One website I’ve been particularly enjoying is called Savee. There’s also awwwards.com, behance.net, and dribbble.com.
Lots of great visual inspiration here, from website design, branding, photography, animations, and more. Enjoi.

Oakley Juliet Update
Short Verdict: Sick. Like really sick.
Longer Verdict: Seller did not accurately disclose the shape these were in (nose bridge was incredibly loose), so I had to ship them off and have the nose bridge serviced.
Here they are pre-service:
Good as new now and completely changed how they feel on the face.
I then replaced the lenses with Midnight Sun lenses from Revant.
Here is the finished product:
They look killer.
Genuinely impressed by the design and build quality of these sunglasses.

p.s. Are you subscribed to my YouTube Channel where I go in depth on all of this kind of stuff??? You should be.
p.p.s. Some of these links toss me a commission without costing you any extra. This goes to buying more things so I can talk about them.
Cheers!

Senna was the high watermark of F1, imo. The cars were fantastic. The competition was fierce. And there was a wild feeling to it all. Kimi Raikkonen was the last of the “James Hunt”-style drivers. They’re all just corporate shills now.
Will you make a video on the Oakleys? You inspired me to go down the rabbit hole as well and am very close to buying a pair myself!
