Music I've Been Digging Lately
+ a summer playlist 4 u
Music is one of my very favorite things in the world.
Always has been.
Sharing things I’m excited about is up there too.
So this week, I just want to share what I’ve been listening to lately and the playlist I put together for this season.
Summer Playlist
I made for the sweltering days of summer.
Hot runs, beaches, pools, lakes, BBQs, coconut La Croixs, broken down motorbikes.
Music for watching good clouds
Man, I love good clouds.
Music for when you’re in trouble
A couple months ago I was in NYC for ICFF with my dear pal Matt Castilleja. One night we were drinking wine on his hotel balcony and he threw this on the A1.
And then he talked shit on the A1 and said it wasn’t powerful enough.
I didn’t have it turned all the way up, Matt.
Music for renting an RV
I want an Airstream.
Music for jazz lovers
I love jazz, and Erroll Garner is one of my favorites. I’ve always loved how loose he played. The noises he makes are the sprinkles on top.
Music for new music
I’ve been listening to Mack Keane a lot since this album. This song has hints of Prince in it. Real nice.
Music for slow coffee weekend mornings
My most-listened to song of 2025. I come back to this often.
Way back when, Phil Cook played in a band with Justin Vernon (Bon Iver). Regarding Phil, Justin Vernon said, “No one has taught me more about music in my life than him.”
Music that could be the next eHarmony campaign (but is really good)
He’s got a great voice.
Quotes I’m pondering
Life is a buffet—you can have anything you want, but nobody’s gonna serve you. - somebody
“Is it really a risk if you’re risking a life you didn’t want anyway?” - somebody
“Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” — Mary Oliver
Question for y’all - What music have you had on repeat lately?
Cheers, Y’all!
Dominic

Lately it’s been a mixture of FKJ, The Cure, LA LOM, Jungle, Barry Biggs (Wide Awake In A Dream is my all time favorite song), Care Package Drake, Sugar Candy Mountain, and last but not least… Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru
Mans always has the most obscure shit from New Zealand on here. Bravo
