Some thoughts about travel, some not
A digital detox is important to recalibrate to a natural level of stimulation. Do that more.
Sharing music is love. Do that more.
Here’s a song I have on repeat: Trouble - Lindsey BuckinghamBring a real camera with you when you travel. It’ll encourage you to really look around, and you may get lucky and catch some special shots. (Get a Fuji X100 if don’t know what to get - even the original is wonderful).
Bring a bluetooth speaker with you when you travel. I use the B&O A1.
When traveling, log your adventure at the end of each day. Be detailed.
Here is a pen I bought this week: Lamy Pico.
If you appreciate something someone is wearing, tell them — If it’s unique, there is probably some thought behind it.
Having friends you exchange random photos or videos with, without comment, is a very special relationship.
Here are some that were recently sent to me without comment:
The NYC subway system is a marvel of engineering. First line opened in 1904.
Bring backup snacks on travel days. LGA had a huge delay on my way back home - We were stuck on the tarmac for 4 hours. Total of 7 hours in the plane. Dommy’s blood sugar was negative 1000. Could have been avoided.
Having old friends where you pick up exactly where you left off, even after years, is a very special relationship.
Fun affordable find from ICFF (The International Contemporary Furniture Fair) this weekend:
- BOBA Chair by TopJob. Everyone, including myself, geeked out on this. Extremely comfortable and … fun?
It’s an active stool. It bends and spins and raises while staying very anchored.
Seat/fabric is swappable in 1 minute.- Their AnyDesk Fold was really impressive and stable for the price too, if you’re looking for a smaller versatile standing desk. Good for smaller places.
Be Ballsy.
Cheers!

Buckingham is such an underrated genius and “Trouble” is such a great early 80s tune. I'll share back.
Buckingham’s 1992 “Out of the Cradle” album remains a personal favorite. His later reinterpretation of “Go Insane” (originally released in 1984) a decade later for Fleetwood Mac's “The Dance” is a masterpiece and a rare cover by an artist of their own song that is remarkably different. Worth exploring…
