Bag That Makes Me Want to Travel More
I actually didn’t like this at first but the more I learned about it, the more I was impressed. This thing is so well thought out. I’m obsessed with it now.
Some cool key points:
The fabric is X-Pac X11, which is a cotton duck on the outside laminated with a technical fabric on the inside (a fabric that is used in sails for competitive sailing). This is SO rad and I didn’t know this fabric existed until this bag. The issue with some technical fabrics is that they don’t really age well. Now you have the best of both worlds.
I love how the fiber-reinforced Xs from the laminated technical backing peak through the cotton duck.In the photo above, you can see the separate water bottle compartment on the left which cleverly uses the same inline zipper as the rest of the bag.
Hidden magnets on the front pockets
Handles are adjustable and replaceable
Bag has a removable X-Pac bag within it. Protecting the inside from spillage and giving you a strong, light bag to take with you, say you were hopping to a pool or beach and didn’t want to risk losing this beaut.
The are some photos of aged versions of this bag online and it looks so good broken in with patinated leather. I’d likely go for the white cotton version, which doesn’t use the XPac material but the canvas used is really gorgeous.
This is a bag that I’d want to take around the world, let it earn its scars, and then hand it down.
If interested, check out Observer Collection’s Instagram where Robert (the owner) has some videos on the bag going through all the details.
My favorite podcast right now
At the moment, this is my favorite podcast.
I’ve always been huge into biographies since I was a kid and this is the podcast version. The name sounds intense, but this isn’t just about world leaders, it’s the biographies of some of the most notable people in history: Thomas Edison, Julias Caesar, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, William Randolph Hearst, and the like.
Podcaster, Ben Wilson’s research on these people is vast and he does an incredible job with story-telling. I’ve actually gone through almost every podcast and now I’m doing a second run. Find someone on this podcast you’re interested in learning about and give it a listen.
YouTube Channel I’m Loving
The owner of this channel seems really chill and kind and interested.
The people he interviews are neat and I love to see what they are like and where they get their inspiration.
BUT
It’s the editing here that captures me. Something about it seems so nostalgic and like a 90s throwback that’s been modernized. I love it.

Song I’m listening to
Are you subscribed to my YouTube Channel where I go in depth on all of this kind of stuff??? You should be.
Cheers!
