This week I wanted to share some channels that I really dig. I should probably be watching these closely to get a better understanding of how to apply this to my own videos, but honestly, I just watch in awe. These channels are tops.
p.s. Drop a comment on some must watch channels - I’d really love to find some more great work out there.
Hagerty - Jason Cammisa episodes -
Best story telling in automotive. Incredible productions too. It’s crazy where things are going on YouTube. We’re getting some real deal content and it’s super inspiring. Hagerty is a publicly traded company, but they are letting this channel (especially the Jason Cammisa episodes) do its thing, and it’s wonderful.

Oh man. This one is so good. So this is a camera channel and I’ve never seen anything like it. He’s basically thinking in another dimension than other channels; he’s reviewing camera equipment for the most part, but HE is effectively a character that is changing throughout his channel. He’s gone from a normal looking guy in his talking head shots to someone who is tethered into the matrix or something. Incredible.
My buddy who runs ModernRemade (another one you should check out - he’s like ASMR for DIY guys) told me about this guy. He makes a bunch of cool contraptions, often with a 3D printer, but what is especially good is his filming and editing. It’s so well done. I can’t imagine the planning involved in his videos and the patience to get all these timelapses.
Another one of my favorite automotive channels. These guys are authentic and don’t pull punches to appease the OEM gods. My favorite part (I usually fast forward through their technical stuff on most cars) is the driving portion. These guys are so funny and you can tell they are having a blast. They also drop comedic Easter eggs in videos which is hilarious.
This cat is really fun. He reviews clothes in almost a blogging style and his videos definitely have Wes Anderson influence at times. Super funny too. Keep an eye on him - his channel is gonna do well.
Are you subscribed to my YouTube Channel??? You should be.
Cheers, y’all! And thanks for all the love.

Cammisa worked for Motor Trend a few years ago and teamed up with Jonny Lieberman for a show called Head 2 Head. They paired well on screen but my sense was their was some drama that caused Jason to freelance for a while and ultimately end up at Hagerty. Cammisa had a fan in me early on and I'm stoked he's back in the field along with guest star, Randy Pobst.
Michael from the Iron Snail is the man (I’m sure you’ve been watching him evolve Christian’s Theo&Harris, as well)… but we need more from YOU!
