Thanks for this, Dominic! Reading and writing are both up there this year. I’m taking down the Count of Monte Cristo for the first time and loving it. I’ve also got it in mind to practice a little calligraphy this year - my print is good but I fear script is becoming lost art!

Love this. Been kicking up my reading as well as of late and revisiting some books from the past - The Old Man & The Sea, Animal Farm, The Stranger are the most recent.

I and intentionally trying to make my way away from typical social media. I have found that I am now using Substack more than any where eles and it has Bridget me so much satisfaction.

Focusing on doing more fulfilling creative work. Choreography, photography, etc…

Great stuff, Dominic. I wrote on a similar topic last year: https://cowwedoin.substack.com/p/on-craft

As for myself, I’m trying to focus less on adding new craft and more on refining a few things I already do: better butchery, better hunting, better writing.

And — if you need some starter… I’m swimming in it!

Thanks so much, Lou!

And narrow and deep is totally the move.

I appreciate the starter offer, but I feel like I've gotta earn my keep - I'm currently on day 6 of building my starter! Luckily, the Sourdough G himself, Maurizio Leo (https://substack.com/@theperfectloaf), is a friend of IYKYK, and is helping guide me through this. His book is great. Such a fun endeavor.

Maaan…I feel this! More and more realized how much I like craftsmanship. Actually working towards starting my education as a welder this fall 👨🏼‍🏭
