California Dreamin’
Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder
Maybe my favorite Ferrari (but also the 330 GTC). And of course nostalgic for me, as it was a key player in one of my favorite movies: Ferris Bueller. (Understandably, the one in that movie was a replica)
These came in long wheel base and short wheel base (LWB & SWB).
The LWB came out first. A few years later, the SWB came out looking more muscular and with more power.
Speaking of power:
V12
280 HP at 7,200k RPM
At 2,425 lbs <- Can you believe this??? This is about as much as the tiny modern Mazda Miata.
Though, even with that power-to-weight ratio, these weren’t built for competition. The 250 GT California Spyder was intended to appeal to US customers (Specifically Californians, hence the name).
Few more than 100 of these were made.

My NEW Summer Shoe
Buck Mason x Moonstar Deck Shoe
Um… these are perfect, dudes.
I’ve been wearing these as much as possible.
They are basically an elevated Japanese take on OG Vans. And I love elevated Japanese takes on things.
I like the herringbone fabric more than I thought I would too.
Get ‘em while you can get ‘em.

Quote I’m Pondering
“I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain.” ― James Baldwin
Music Video I’m Watching
Absolutely (a film) - Dijon ← Watch this
Last week, I talked about how I’ve been on a Mk.Gee bender. Dijon and Mk.Gee have played together for a while and you can tell why in this video. They have amazing chemistry. This is video is so good.
p.s. Are you subscribed to my YouTube Channel where I go in depth on all of this kind of stuff??? You should be.
p.p.s. Some of these links toss me a commission without costing you any extra. This goes to buying more things so I can talk about them.
Cheers!
